Veteran Women In Community: Sara J. Harper Village By Volunteers of America
The Sara J. Harper Village is a newly built 12-unit efficiency apartment complex located in Cleveland, Ohio. This community is specifically for veteran women and is named after the honorable Judge Sara J. Harper. This new, safe, affordable housing is a supportive environment designed to help veterans rebuild their lives and maintain their well-being. Being surrounded by fellow veterans and connected to veteran resources and treatment helps them achieve self-sufficiency and thrive.
We provided design consultations, 3D renderings, furniture, and finishings for all 14 spaces. It consists of 12 apartments and 2 common spaces. At MMD, we worked with the architects and construction crew to design color combinations and furniture layouts for all of the rooms. We also purchased and coordinated delivery and installation of all items needed in the rooms including: beds, bedding, dressers, sofas, kitchen tables, and chairs.
Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority
Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) believes affordable housing goes beyond the structure. Through community development and collaborative partnerships, they help people access safe, quality housing where they can live with dignity and thrive.
We were hired to create a Christmas holiday theme and decorations for their newly renovated building in Columbus, Ohio. We were able to provide festive holiday decor, lighted trees, wreaths, planters and live vibrant poinsettia plants throughout the Foyer, Lobby, Reception Area, Boardroom and Executive Suite. The spaces truly looked festive for the season.
